APC stalwart and aspirant in the 2020 governorship election in Ondo state, Prince Okunjimi Odimayo has refuted a misleading write up by one Oluwapelumi Aduragbemi on a blog known as Basehit media where he claimed that “Odimayo is believed to have calculated that it will be easier for him to clinch the house of representatives ticket which may prepare him for the guber contest in 2025.”
In a statement signed by his Director of Media and Publicity, Ayokunle Adumashi, prince Odimayo described the write up as misleading, baseless falacy and a joke taken too far by those he referred to as perceived losers in the contest.
The statement added that prince Odimayo remains focused in his quest to represent the people of Okitipupa/Irele federal constituency in the House of representatives in 2023.
The statement described “Prince Jimi Odimayo as a man highly endowed with enviable leadership qualities, and a man with a large heart who is always helping to alleviate the sufferings of his people.”
The statement also reads, “The contest as of now, is for a seat in the House of representatives. It will take only the jittery set of people to attempt running down a man of the people, chosen by God to impact positively on Okitipupa/Irele federal constituency.
Odimayo however demanded an apology from the writer for trying to tarnish his reputation in the name of politicking.
He counselled politicians to desist from dragging their opponents to the mud as part of ways of securing the sympathy of the people.
